Join us for an afternoon of tea and meditation in a beautiful, intimate venue in Buxted, East Sussex.

Tea Ceremony is an amazing medicine that gently nudges us to slow down, engage our senses and through that open our heart to life itself.

Tea invites us to cultivate pure presence.

The serene practice will be guided by Lera @withtlovers who pours intention into each cup she serves. We will sit together in silence, honouring the ancient leaf, embracing clarity, feeling the depth of each moment, and experiencing a complete fulfilment.

The seating is done on the floor, and there will be plenty of cushions/pouffes. After tea we will share some healthy snacks.

We are looking forward to sharing a bowl of tea with you all!

Have you ever gone to your doctor complaining of symptoms of hormonal imbalances only to be given a pill or vague answer?

💥The clearest connection I have seen between lifestyle and hormonal imbalance is a chronic stress.
💥Research shows that chronic stress can wreak havoc on our bodies. It can trigger hormonal imbalances, weaken the immune system, and even slow down our metabolism.

💥During menopause, the adrenal glands take over some of the work of diminishing ovaries and produce small amounts of progesterone and oestrogen. The body is wonderful at adapting to the transition to menopause, but adrenal glands cannot produce these female hormones efficiently when they are constantly pumping out stress hormones: if the body has a choice to survive or reproduce it will always pick surviving.

💥When we experience stress, the body becomes primed for attack, and adrenal glands choose to produce cortisol and adrenaline over the production of oestrogen and progesterone. This is bad news for menopausal women, as we need these hormones for our health and emotional wellbeing.

The two biggest mistakes she was making trying to heal her acne:
~ not moisturising properly
~ ignoring stress management

It’s a misconception that oils are a no - go for those with acne or acne prone skin. If your skin is not moisturised properly, it will only become dry and send feedback to your body that it needs to produce more oil to combat dryness. This can make acne worse because a combination of overproduction of oil and dry skin will lead to clogged skin.

Certain oils, as long as they are non – comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog your pores, can help balance oil production and help manage breakouts.

Researchers have found that acne is much slower in healing when person is under stress. Learning to reduce and manage your stress is an important step in the treatment of your acne, since stress and emotional burnout can make your acne worse.

Managing acne prone skin is a journey, but get these basics right you will be heading in a right direction.
